Dudjom Foundation, a purely non-profit establishment founded in 2012, is registered under the religious organization act 2007 of Bhutan. It is dedicated to supporting and bringing to fruition the visions of H.H. Dudjom Tenzin Yeshey Dorje to create a more compassionate world.

The Dudjom lineage was established in 1835 by Dudjom Lingpa who is considered a mind manifestation of Guru Rinpoche and the body manifestation of Drogben Lotsawa, one of the 25 main disciples of Guru Rinpoche. It is also believed that in one of his previous lives, Dudjom was sariputra, a renowned disciple of Buddha Shakyamuni.

Dudjom Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje (1904-1987) was the direct incarnate of Dudjom Lingpa, who excelled in scholarship and became a renowned Buddhist master who was called on by the Tibetan government in exile to become the spiritual leader of Nyingma sect. His sphere of influence extended across all sects and across continents.

The guiding vision for Dudjom Foundation is His Holiness himself who personifies compassion and is dedicated to serving humanity and promoting peace, harmony and wellbeing of all sentient beings based on the Buddhist principles of equanimity, compassion and interdependence.

The foundation aspires to consolidate and strengthen the monastic tradition and its rich education heritage to serve the evolving needs of modern men and women. It seeks to propagate the wisdom of Buddha’s teaching through public and private discourses, and by adopting tersar methods espoused by Dudjom Lingpa and Dudjom Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje, as well as by encouraging exemplary conduct amongs Rinpoche’s disciples and devotees. It will dedicate to contributing to social development, particularly related to addressing youth issues and the upliftment of the under-privileged. It will continue to support the rituals that have been passed from generations, established by great masters to promote the dharma and general wellbeing of all sentient beings.
